PLEASE NOTE: This training is available for New Zealand citizens & permanent residents, and Australian citizens only.
If you are successful through our testing as part of our selection process for the training programme, you will be required to attend a one-day assessment centre in Christchurch in August 2024.
Training for successful candidates will begin in our Christchurch training centre in October 2024. Students will spend 8-9 months training in Christchurch, before relocating to one of our air traffic control towers across the country, for on-the-job training.

Pay for air traffic controllers varies depending on where they work, their experience and their duties. Pay includes a base salary plus superannuation, shift work allowances and other benefits.
